Bipolar UK is delighted to announce that Chief Executive Suzanne Hudson has been recognised with an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours 2017 for her services to bipolar.

Suzanne Hudson awarded with MBE

Suzanne joined Bipolar UK in July 2010 and has been instrumental in developing a range of services and communications, which ensure the very best support possible for those affected by bipolar.

As awareness and understanding of bipolar have increased, the demands on our small national charity have accelerated dramatically. More individuals and families are seeking support more frequently than ever before.

Ashley Toft, Bipolar UK's Chair of Trustees, said:

"I'm delighted that Suzanne has been recognised for her outstanding leadership of Bipolar UK. She has professionalised all aspects of the charity over the last 7 years and has helped raise the profile of not only the charity but also bipolar.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, the staff team and the many volunteers who are integral to the success of the charity, I would like to congratulate Suzanne on this incredible achievement. Being recognised with an MBE is wonderful for Suzanne and fantastic for the charity.

It really is richly deserved and reflects the tremendous amount of time and energy that she has put into the charity and for her unwavering commitment to providing the very best for those affected by bipolar."

Suzanne Hudson, Chief Executive, said:

"It's an enormous privilege to be recognised with an MBE. The award absolutely reflects the dedication, compassion and professionalism of everyone involved with Bipolar UK."
