Get information Latest news Bipolar UK's Chief Executive stepping down Bipolar UK has announced that Chief Executive Suzanne Hudson is stepping down from her role. Suzanne has been at the helm of the charity, which supports individuals and families affected by bipolar, for 7 successful years. Suzanne said: “It has been an enormous privilege to lead Bipolar UK over the past seven years. During this time, with the involvement and dedication of so many, we comprehensively restructured operations and governance. In the past four years we’ve focused on sustainably developing and growing our services and communications in response to rising demand for support. "I will look back on my time with warmth and will greatly miss those we support, our staff, volunteers, trustees and supporters. I feel this is the right time for me to step down and pass on the baton to give someone else the opportunity to take Bipolar UK forward. I am sure that under the guidance of the Board of Trustees, my successor will continue to successfully grow Bipolar UK in line with its strategic aims.’’ Ashley Toft, Chair of Trustees, said: “Bipolar UK has gone from strength to strength under Suzanne’s leadership. She has been instrumental in driving much needed change, and has professionalised all aspects of the charity and its development. I know that she will be greatly missed by all those involved in Bipolar UK. "On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I would like to thank Suzanne for the incredible amount of time and energy that she has put into the charity, and for her unwavering commitment to providing the very best for those affected by bipolar. She leaves the charity in a really positive place, from which we look forward to building for the future; growing and developing our wide range of services to meet the ever growing demand.
