Equality 4 Mental Health is a new cross-party, cross-society campaign calling for the Government to provide greater support for individuals with mental health concerns and to provide more funding for mental health services.

The campaign was launched by former Liberal Democrat mental health minister Norman Lamb MP, Conservative MP Andrew Mitchell and prominent  journalist and former Labour political aide Alastair Campbell. More than 200 other high-profile signatories have added their names to an open letter published to signal the launch of the campaign.

The open letter hopes to encourage people to see mental health on a par with physical health, ensuring that individuals receive the same level of support and treatment
