The survey aimed to get views from service users, family, friends, carers, and mental health professionals about how well the NHS provides mental health support. Participants were asked about what works well and what they would like to change to improve mental health provision.

The exceptional response, which included Bipolar UK supporters, shows that people are keen to improve mental health support across the NHS, including access to and quality of services.

The Mental Health Taskforce was launched by NHS England in early 2015 with the aim of developing a five year strategy for mental health.
