Organisations and individuals involved in bipolar support and research have added their names to an open letter calling for increased research into bipolar, driven by greater public awareness and support for individuals affected by bipolar.

Bipolar is a severe, life-long mental illness and a major global healthcare crisis, causing untold levels of distress and costing lives daily.

Suzanne Hudson, Chief Executive of Bipolar UK, has also added her name to the open letter sent to The Guardian, calling for greater support for individuals affected by bipolar and for mental health to be viewed on a par with physical health.

You can read the letter here and show your support for individuals and families impacted by bipolar.
