Become a Youth Ambassador and help us support even more young people affected by bipolar.

As a Youth Ambassador, you'll be promoting young people affected by bipolar and highlighting their issues within the wider community.

What does the role involve?

The role can include any or all of the following:

  • Sharing your experience in awareness talks or training events
  • Social media administration; sourcing and writing content
  • Producing/editing young person generated content for our online and printed publications
  • Co-facilitating or assisting at Youth Support Groups and/or events
  • Participating in promotional events in relation to Bipolar UK and its services

We are looking for volunteers who have:

  • Personal experience of bipolar (e.g. must have a diagnosis of bipolar or be a family member or carers of someone with bipolar).
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of individuals with bipolar.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Specific skills relating to the parts of the role you wish to be involved in e.g. social media administration - you must already have skills in using social media platforms.
  • Reliable, personable and friendly.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • The ability to reflect the values of Bipolar UK at every occasion.
  • Experience of using Bipolar UK's services.
