Our Office Volunteers give a few hours each week to help behind the scenes at Bipolar UK. Whether helping with mail-outs, processing databases or gathering volunteer feedback, Office Volunteers help keep Bipolar UK running smoothly.

  • We are currently looking for volunteers who are within easy access of our Crewe office.

This means we can provide the best possible service for individuals and families affected by bipolar.

What does the role involve?

  • A regular shift of up to 4 hours (usually between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday) for at least a year
  • Working as part of a team and supporting various office activities and projects, including
    • Sorting through posted Support Group information and entering the relevant details onto a database
    • Updating and maintaining the Support Group database
    • Filing away paperwork and maintaining filing systems
    • Assembling information packs for Support Groups, including Support Group welcome packs, annual training packs and employment training packs
    • Assisting with bulk mailings to groups, including envelope stuffing, laminating and folding leaflets
    • Other general office tasks as and when required
  • Basic computer and adminstration skills and an understanding of office IT systems
  • Working sensitively with others and showing empathy
  • Taking part in an induction and volunteer training sessions
  • Complying with Bipolar UK's policies and procedures
