About bipolar disorder Pendulum: stories and information Personal experiences Bipolar and masculinity We are delighted to welcome our newest ambassador to Bipolar UK. Dean Clarke is an ex-British Army soldier. He joined when he was 16 and served for 8 years in a reconnaissance regiment completing tours of Afghanistan and Iraq. Dean lives with bipolar and is currently a qualified personal trainer and coach based in Hitchin. In this video he gives his perspective on masculinity and bipolar disorder. In addition he outlines the value of community and need to talk. Our 8,000-strong eCommunity is a safe, secure space to discuss everything from diagnosis and medication to films and travel. It’s free, accessible 24 hours a day, and moderated during the day and evening. We are excited to be working with Dean. Together we'll make a tangible difference as he helps to raise awareness of the various support services we offer that empower those living with or are affected by the condition.
