Bipolar disorder Pendulum: stories and information Clare Dolman steps down as Bipolar UK Board member Autumn 2018 saw the departure of long serving Board member Clare Dolman. Clare had served her maximum number of terms, and was required under the constitution to step down. She has been a pivotal part of the Bipolar UK team for the last nine years – having been Chair twice, led our involvement in several research projects, been a generous donor and organised a number of evening receptions, the last of which on the 29th October raised much-needed funds for the charity. Her wisdom and energy will be sorely missed from the Board though we are very grateful that she will be continuing her involvement in the charity as an Ambassador. The Bipolar UK family would like to a say a huge thank you to Clare for all that she has done. She has been an inspiration to thousands of people affected by bipolar.’ Reflecting on her time as a Board member she said, “It has been an absolute privilege to be on the Board of Bipolar UK for the last nine years and work with so many dedicated and wonderful people. Like the condition itself, we’ve had our ups and downs as a charity but I hope that the future is looking bright for 2019 and I’m glad I can continue supporting the team as a volunteer. To anyone thinking of getting involved with Bipolar UK in whatever voluntary capacity don't be shy. Like me, you’re bound to get back much more than you give." We wish Clare all the very best in her new endeavours and look forward to her continued support as an Ambassador.
