Bipolar disorder Pendulum: stories and information Fundraising Top Tips Top tips on how to smash your fundraising target 1. Why are you fundraising? Tell people what you are doing and why. People will care more if they know why you're supporting Bipolar UK. 2. Keep everyone up to date Keep people interested in what you're doing by updating them with photos, goals achieved, stories and videos. 3. Give yourself a target (and smash it!) Add a target for how much money you want to raise. This tells people what you’re aiming for and how close you are to achieving it. 4. Share, share, share Sharing what you’re doing and what you hope to achieve on social media is a fantastic way to reach more people. 5. Think creatively Come up with unique ideas to give people an extra reason to donate. For example, pledge to share an embarrassing childhood photo if you raise 100% of your target. 6. Don’t forget about Gift Aid Gift Aid allows charities an additional 25p for every pound donated from the government. Gift Aiding your donations means that you can raise more for less! 7. The Finish Line Even when the event is over, that doesn’t mean the fundraising stops! JustGiving tells us that up to 20% of donations are received after an event. Make sure you share photos from your event or the finish line to remind people of what you achieved. For more tips and advice, drop us a line [email protected] or call us on 0333 323 3780.
