The Government has introduced emergency legislation response to the coronavirus pandemic.

You must not leave your home without a reasonable excuse to do so.

What is a reasonable excuse includes (but isn't limited to):

  • ​​The need to obtain food or medical supplies, for your household or the household of a vulnerable person who is unable to do so themselves;
  • The need to take exercise alone or with members of your household;
  • The need to seek medical assistance (including for your mental health);
  • The need to travel to work, or to provide voluntary or charitable services if it is not possible to do that from home.
