We are sorry to announce that due to the Coronavirus situation and government advice, the decision has been made to put our face-to-face support groups on hold. We are sorry for any disappointment this causes, and want to assure you that we did not take this decision lightly.

We will update the group pages as soon as we are able to resume face-to-face meetings. In the meantime, some locations are engaging in online zoom meetings. If you would like to join a local or national meeting please register your interest here.

You should be comfortable with zoom as a platform and happy with their privacy and security notice before agreement to join a Bipolar UK zoom session. Details can be found here here. zoom recommends upgrading to v5 to incorporate the latest security updates.

If you have any questions regarding the online/remote groups, please view the zoom FAQs.

Bipolar UK is here to support you during this time and therefore we encourage everyone to use our other services – eCommunity and Peer Support Line.

We will continue to update the information regarding the status of the support group meetings as the advice from the government changes. Bipolar UK is here to support you during this time, so in the interim we have suggested alternative support options below:

  • Bipolar UK eCommunity: our eCommunity is a supportive online forum for everyone affected by bipolar.
  • Bipolar UK Peer Support Line: receive a call-back from a staff member who has been affected by bipolar themselves. Our peer support line does not receive incoming calls, you can email us with your details here and someone will call or email you back, depending on your preference.
  • Bipolar UK Chatbot: our chatbot has a wealth of information and will be able to answer a number of queries. You can find the Chatbot at the bottom right hand corner of of the screen.
  • If you are in need of crisis or other support during this time, please utilise the services of the below organisations:
