Guy is an analyst at a London-based investment firm with a background in fundraising and investor relations for alternative asset managers.
Dan Whitlam, Treasurer
Dan has worked in the gambling industry for over 15 years, with a background in finance, governance, risk and compliance. He was diagnosed with bipolar type 1 in 2017.
Alice Alphandary
Alice studied natural sciences specialising in biology at university, and now works in banking supervision at the Bank of England. She has family experience of bipolar.
Melissa Barnett-Welch
Melissa is Head of Public Affairs at Healthcomms Consulting, a healthcare-focused communications and public affairs agency.
Ed Butcher
Ed is Head of Business Development at HS1 Ltd with a background in public affairs. Previously he was an elected Councillor for London Borough of Haringey for eight years.
Louis Constandinos
Louis is a multidisciplinary scientist with a research interest in the epidemiology of bipolar disorder and co-morbid metabolic diseases.
Derrick Dale
Derrick is a KC who practices commercial law from Fountain Court Chambers. He also sits as an arbitrator and is a bencher of Middle Temple.
Steven Gilbert
Steven supports organisations to develop anti-racist practices, policies and structures, and in 2019 was honoured with an OBE for services to Mental Health. He lives with bipolar.
Ann James
Ann worked as an NHS Chief Executive for 24 years and within the NHS for over 35 years. She has family experience of bipolar.
Chennel Lawrence
Chennel is Director of Services at Mind in Kingson, leading organisation-wide service operations and transformation. She has a background in youth support, housing, gambling harm and mental health.
Robert Print
Robert is Head of Executive Office at the Law Society, working primarily on strategy, business improvement and governance. He was diagnosed with bipolar in 2010.
Dr Aditya Sharma
Dr Aditya Sharma is a Clinical Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Newcastle University and CNTW NHS Foundation Trust.
Howard Sinclair
Howard has a background in health, social care and housing, and was a chief executive in the third sector for 20 years. Most recently he was CEO of the homelessness charity St Mungo’s.
Jody Wilson
Jody has worked in the global energy sector in Canada, the US and the UK for over 25 years, with a background in digital technology solutions for industry. Jody was diagnosed with bipolar in 2018.

Adam co-wrote, co-directed and played the lead role in urban comedy ‘Anuvahood’ which grossed over £1m in box office receipts. Time Out magazine labelled him ‘The New Face of Youth Cinema’. In February 2012, he won the BAFTA Rising Star Award.

Andrew Thompson BCAh is a husband, father, grandfather and app developer from the Midlands. He first saw a psychiatrist when he was 19, but was only diagnosed with bipolar at the age of 50.
In 2019, Andrew approached Bipolar UK with an idea to develop a Mood Tracker app. Since its launch in 2022, over 50,000 people have downloaded the free app to help them stay well. In July 2025, Andrew was awarded the British Citizen Award.

A songwriter of more than 50 hits, Nicky co-wrote several international number one singles with Mike Chapman in the 70s and 80s. The hits include 'Living Next Door to Alice', 'Tiger Feet', 'Lonely This Christmas', 'Ballroom Blitz' and the worldwide hit 'Mickey'.
Chinn and Chapman were the recipients of three Ivor Novello Awards for songwriting, including the Jimmy Kennedy award for outstanding career achievement in 1997.
More recently, Nicky was a co-writer on ‘APT’ by Rosé and Bruno Mars which was number 1 on the Billboard Global Chart for a record-breaking 19 weeks.
Nicky was diagnosed with bipolar at the age of 16.
