Information for researchers
At Bipolar UK we offer two main models when it comes to research partnerships: leading research and supporting research.
Leading research
The research team at Bipolar UK all hold PhDs and have relevant experience across mental health and methodologies.
With this model, we will work closely with you as co-investigators on a project grant to help implement lived experience involvement and recruitment strategies. We will also provide critical feedback on all aspects of the grant.
This option typically has either the Postdoctoral Research Manager or the Director of Research budgeted in for 20% of their Full Time Equivalency (FTE).
Supporting research
With this model, the role of the Bipolar UK Research team is considerably smaller, where we are not written into the grant as co-investigators but may be named collaborators. Services may include consultation and recruitment drives.
Separate to this we also offer Individual Research Services which are one-off tasks, likely completed by someone outside of the Bipolar UK Research team. This can include recruitment via social media, the online Community, or a research/communications newsletter.
