Bipolar UK welcomes Justin Irwin as Interim CEO

Bipolar UK is pleased to welcome Justin Irwin as Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Having previously served as both a trustee and Interim CEO of Bipolar UK, Justin brings a deep understanding of the organisation and extensive experience in charity leadership. Throughout his career, he has worked with more than 50 non-profit organisations, many of them in the mental health sector. Justin returns to Bipolar UK at an exciting time as we prepare to launch our new three-year strategy.
As Interim CEO, Justin will lead the organisation through its next chapter, working closely with our trustees, staff, volunteers and supporters. His focus will be on maintaining momentum, bringing our ambitious strategy to life, and continuing our mission to create a better world for everyone affected by bipolar.
Justin Irwin, Interim CEO, Bipolar UK“It's great to be back at Bipolar UK and to see the many positive changes that have taken place since I was last here. Having spent many years working in the sector, I've seen how far we've come in opening up conversations about mental health. However, when it comes to serious mental illnesses, including bipolar, we know there is still much more to be done. I'm looking forward to working alongside the Bipolar UK team to improve the lives of people affected by bipolar and their loved ones."
Pending the recruitment of a permanent Chief Executive, Justin's interim leadership, experience and knowledge of the charity will help us build on the progress made in recent years. Working part-time alongside our Deputy CEO and Senior Leadership Team, he will provide continuity and stability for our staff, volunteers and the people who rely on our services.
In the meantime, we look forward to working together to deliver our new strategy and help more people affected by bipolar access support and find hope.
