Speak to our Peer Support Line

What we offer

We're here to give practical information, advice and support by phone and email, as well as through our website. 

With an emphasis on self-management, the Peer Support Line provides:

  • advice on how to support a loved one
  • information on how to manage your bipolar 
  • coping strategies to stay well
  • links to useful support services

We can talk you through any issues that are on your mind and share our experiences as people also affected by bipolar. We're here to help you find a way forward. 

Bipolar UK does not provide crisis support

If you are in crisis, we've put together a list of resources to turn to for crisis help

Book a call

Our Peer Support Line offers a call-back service.

You can book a call with one of our friendly team by using our chatbot:

Use the chatbot in the bottom right-hand corner of our website. 

To see the available slots, type "I want to speak to someone" into the chatbot and a booking diary will pop up. Bookings are made a week ahead. 

If you can't find a slot that works well for you, we invite you to keep checking back as these slots are updated regularly.

Please note: the Peer Support Line is open to UK phone numbers only. You must be based in the UK to access this service. Even if you have a UK number, we are unable to speak to you if you're outside the UK at the time of the call.

Get support via email 

While you're waiting for new slots to become available, or if you'd like to talk over email you can contact us at [email protected] with any questions, concerns or information you need. We aim to respond within three working days, although during holidays or busier periods it may take slightly longer. Thank you for your patience.

Another great way to get peer support is to join our online forum - the eCommunity

Ask our chatbot a question

You can find answers to bipolar-related questions via the chatbot service too. It is an automated knowledge base - just type a short, direct question and you'll get a speedy response to factual questions. Another option is to search our website using the search option at the top of the web page.
